Waynesboro is a charming city of about 33,000 people and is located just off I- 64 making Waynesboro very convenient to the larger city of Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia, just 23 miles to the east. Buckley Moss Museum is located in Waynesboro where visitors can enjoy the gallery or purchase prints from this nationally known contemporary artists.
When living in Waynesboro, one is only minutes away from the entrances to both Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway in the George Washington National Forest. Out door activities are many from rock climbing, hiking, camping, biking, fishing, picnicking or relax watching the birds and enjoy the wide variety of wild flowers and foliage surrounding the area. Grand Caverns is close by with a swimming pool, tennis courts, biking, and hiking trails. Waynesboro is also home to the Wildlife Center of Virginia which provides care of injured and orphaned wildlife and educational seminars in wildlife medicine and conservation.
